The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnett shoots in for a takedown but Hamm shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Barnett shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hamm pinned against the cage. Hamm gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Barnett tries to keep at a distance but Hamm has taken the fight into the clinch.
Barnett wants to take the fight to the mat but Hamm manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Jonh Hamm has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Josh Barnett.
Hamm lands a nice shot to the body.
A right handed body shot lands from Hamm.
Barnett drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Hamm gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Barnett looks winded!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hamm lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Barnett backwards.

Hamm is trying to force a seperation but Barnett has the dominant position.

Hamm escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hamm fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

It looks like Josh Barnett has been cut.
Barnett scores with a nice head shot.
Jonh Hamm is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Barnett.

Hamm tries to clinch but Barnett is having none of it.
Barnett goes for a double leg but Hamm avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Hamm continues to drive forward.
Hamm doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Hamm lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Barnett or not.
Hamm softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Hamm scores with a shot to the side of Barnett's head.
Hamm lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Barnett backwards.
A frustrated look appears on Hamm's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Hamm drops Barnett onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Barnett is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Barnett is rocked!
Hamm lands a big right hand that drops Barnett! The killer instinct kicks in and Hamm finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Hamm!
