Smeets throws a right hand that misses
and Solomon counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Smeets looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Smeets wants to clinch up but Solomon keeps it at a distance.
A head kick misses from Solomon.
Solomon defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Smeets.
Smeets shoots in looking for a takedown but Solomon manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Smeets's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Smeets avoids the head kick by Solomon.
We've been told by Smeets's head coaches at Cozad Amsterdam that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Smeets on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Solomon. Solomon obviously looking to wear him down.
Solomon looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Smeets is fending him off so far but Solomon persists. Nope, Smeets circles away and we're back to standing.

Solomon lands a big head kick that sends Smeets tumbling to the mat! Solomon takes a step backwards and waves Smeets back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Solomon shoots for a double leg takedown but Smeets sprawls well. He's pushed Solomon's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Oh Smeets is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
