And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Shimada and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wada gets caught napping as Downn dives in and scores a takedown. Wada manages to retain guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Wada is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Downn is aware though and is defending well.
Downn with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Downn must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Downn avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Wada pushes a forearm under Downn's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Downn is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
