And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steven Rogers!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holden fails with a takedown attempt.
Rogers misses with a double jab.
Rogers throws a wild body kick that Holden sees coming a mile off.

Rogers shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Holden is trying to defend but Rogers finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Rogers sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Holden defending well though.
Holden wants to improve his position but Rogers is controlling well.
Rogers tries to pass to full mount but Holden defends it.
Rogers is nestled in close to Holden, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Holden wants to get back to full guard.

Rogers is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Rogers is looking to take a break and control but Holden is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Holden slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Rogers wants to stand and escape but instead Holden has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Holden stands up from Rogers's guard - Holden perhaps looking for a knockout.

Rogers tries to clinch but Holden moves out of range.
Holden avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Steven Rogers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rogers throws a head kick but Holden moves out of range.

Rogers pushes Holden up against the cage in a clinch.

Rogers pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Rogers darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rogers not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Holden is controlling Rogers's trapped leg to prevent Rogers from advancing to side control.
Holden tries to roll over but Rogers keeps him under control.
Rogers is looking to stall here but Holden recovers full guard.
Holden looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rogers is one step ahead there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Holden not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Rogers wants to control from the top but Holden keeps moving.

Rogers trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Holden is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Holden could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
A punch combination from Rogers misses.
Rogers throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rogers looks winded!

Rogers shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Holden trying to control from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rogers not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Holden works his way to full guard. Good work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Steven Rogers dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Rogers throws a nice head kick!


It looks like Zackary Holden has been cut.

Rogers throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Holden tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rogers is in Holden's guard.
Holden is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Rogers passes Holden's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Holden tries to roll over but Rogers keeps him under control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Rogers looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Rogers is breathing heavily.
Holden keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Steven Rogers has got the better of the ground game so far.

Rogers thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Rogers tries to pass to full mount but Holden defends it.
Rogers thows a huge punch but Holden dodges it nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rogers drops an elbow to the side of Holden's head.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Rogers in particular looking to stall.
Holden trying to hold on to Rogers's head to control him but Rogers postures up.
Holden moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Holden not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Holden manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rogers manages to get himself to full guard.
Holden trying to control the position from guard on top but Rogers is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Rogers wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Holden is now in half guard.
Rogers tries to get to full guard but Holden has control of the leg.
Rogers regains full guard. Nicely done.

Rogers is looking to stand back up but Holden counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Rogers.

Rogers pushes Holden off, looking to escape but Holden dives into side control. He's locked up a kimura now - that was fast! He's cranking on it and Rogers is forced to tap! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Zackary Holden!
