Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ian Mackaye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roque Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson has chosen Never Go Where the Pagans Go (Warrior King) as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ian Mackaye!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roque Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Joseph Jones and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Mackaye misses with a double jab.

It looks like Ian Mackaye has been cut.

Johnson takes the fight into the clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mackaye tries to pull guard but Johnson forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Mackaye tries for a takedown but Johnson manages to get underhooks.
Johnson content to slow the pace in the clinch.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Johnson is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Mackaye is trying to get back to half guard.
Johnson misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Johnson misses with the ground and pound.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Johnson tries to stand but can't do so whilst Mackaye controls his leg.
Mackaye tries to roll over but Johnson keeps him under control.
Johnson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Johnson looks to land a strike but Mackaye avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Johnson wants to pass the guard but Mackaye is keeping the position.

Johnson's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Johnson won't allow Mackaye to sweep him here.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Roque Johnson.
Mackaye throws a one two combo.

Johnson drops Mackaye with a naaaaasty hook - Mackaye is in real trouble here! Johnson dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Roque Johnson!
An out of breath Roque Johnson thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
