PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vitaliy Sus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scottie Ramon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ramon has chosen Say hello to the Bad Guy as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vitaliy Sus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Scottie Ramon!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Jorge Garcia and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sus tries to close the distance and clinch but Ramon swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ramon gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Sus counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Ramon tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Sus manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Sus closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Sus working the body and head with strikes.

Sus is trying to get an arm triangle but Ramon is defending well.
Sus controlling the position.
Ramon is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ramon is looking for a sweep.

Ramon is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Sus asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Sus is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Ramon will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Sus is working Ramon over with some ground and pound from side control.
Sus gets to mount! Ramon was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Sus avoids the attempt from Ramon to control.
Sus controlling from the full mount.
Ramon is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Sus tries to control but Ramon wriggling away.
Sus content just to control the position here.
Ramon wants to control but Sus is having none of it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sus scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Ramon?

Ramon really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Sus working for a submission but Ramon is keeping him at bay.
Sus lands a couple of good shots and Ramon has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Ramon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sus. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ramon tries to roll but Sus sticks to his back.

Sus working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Ramon is doing well to defend. Sus seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Ramon is forced to tap and this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Vitaliy Sus!
