PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Uncle Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wayne Wade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bob comes to the cage accompanied by Body Count's in the house. Wade has chosen Dance Gavin Dance - Strawberry Swisher pt. III as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Wayne Wade!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Sandra Marshall and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wade throws a series of punches but Bob moves out of range.
Sloppy strikes from Wade. Those never looked like landing.
Bob misses with a takedown
and Wade counters with a one-two to the body.
Bob has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Bob shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Wade defends it nicely.
Wayne Wade seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bob gets tackled into the cage by Wade. Wade maintains the clinch.
Bob tries to pull guard but Wade holds him up against the cage and eventually Bob drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Uncle Bob. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bob manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Wade wants to control from the top but Bob keeps moving.

Bob working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wade doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Bob is tightening it up a little... Wade has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Wade reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Wade taps out! Nice BJJ there by Bob!

Uncle Bob really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Atlantis logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
