With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cus Tomato!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tomato ducks under a wild hook from Bowlsby.

Tomato misses with a left hand
and Bowlsby counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Bowlsby looks to land a left hand but Tomato moved out of range nicely.

Tomato paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Cus Tomato seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bowlsby looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Bowlsby chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Tomato can pounce on him.
Tomato stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Tomato uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bowlsby.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Bowlsby might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.
Tomato turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Tomato has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Tomato dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Bowlsby. That did some damage!

No joy there for Tomato, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Bowlsby takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Bowlsby leaves his chin hanging out and Tomato seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Bowlsby crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
