Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Fumio Luk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Murad Tsekunov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luk closes the distance looking to clinch

and Tsekunov moves into the clinch.
Luk is trying to pull guard but Tsekunov has him pressed against the cage.
Luk tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Tsekunov just stands there and leans against the cage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Tsekunov controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Tsekunov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Luk swivels though and keeps the full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Luk is looking to reverse the position.
Luk is letting Tsekunov control him for a moment.

Tsekunov looks up at the clock and then as Luk takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Tsekunov smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Luk tries to buck Tsekunov off but Tsekunov is having none of it.

The referee asks Tsekunov politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Tsekunov prefers to stall for the moment though.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Tsekunov is putting a hurting on Luk here, landing some big shots from side control.

Tsekunov has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Luk is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Tsekunov yanks on the arm and Luk is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Tsekunov.
