PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hilio Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Izzy Cumming (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie comes to the cage accompanied by AC/DC - Back In Black. Cumming comes into a darkened arena with his song building. White America kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice shot lands for Cumming.
Cumming misses with a body shot.
Gracie throws a big shot that misses.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Cumming has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Gracie throws a combination that misses
letting Cumming counter with a right hand.
Gracie with a jab.
Cumming connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Cumming gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Gracie looks to land a left hand but Cumming moved out of range nicely.
Gracie ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cumming moves away.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gracie throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Cumming counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Gracie thinking.
Cumming takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Gracie takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Cumming misses with a few strikes there.
Gracie throws a hook but Cumming blocks it.

Cumming takes the fight into the clinch.
Cumming is pushing Gracie up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cumming is working Gracie over against the cage.
Cumming scores with a knee to the head.
Gracie has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Cumming is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Cumming breaks from the clinch.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Cumming, as that shot connected.
Cumming lunges at Gracie with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Gracie's hand.

Gracie is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cumming tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gracie swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Oh Gracie is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Cumming takes the fight into the clinch.
Gracie seems to have got his legs back now.
Cumming landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Gracie has Cumming pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Cumming manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Gracie tries for a takedown but Cumming manages to get underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hilio Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Cumming escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Cumming pushes Gracie up against the cage in a clinch.

Gracie's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Cumming slips a jab from Gracie.
Gracie walks into a straight right hand from Cumming.
Cumming punishes Gracie's body with a nice straight punch.
Cumming throws a body punch but Gracie moves out of range.
Gracie avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Gracie misses with a lunging right hand
and Cumming counters with a nice uppercut.
Gracie takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Gracie takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Cumming drops Gracie with a huge uppercut! Gracie drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Cumming is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!

Our winner, Izzy Cumming, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
In defeat, Hilio Gracie stepped up to the mic, saying 'IM DISAPOINTED IN MY PROFORMENCE.... TODAY JUST WASNT MY DAY. I NEVER LOST 2 FIGHTS IN A ROW BEFORE SO THIS IS REAL UPSETTING FOR ME TODAY. "BUT I'LL BE BACK!"'.
