The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blaauwendraat on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Truth fails with a takedown attempt.

Blaauwendraat shoots in and gets a takedown into Truth's guard.
Blaauwendraat tries to free his leg and advance position but Truth is retaining full guard.
Blaauwendraat is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Truth wants to get back to his feet but Blaauwendraat is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Blaauwendraat controlling from the top position.

We're going to have a standup here because Arjen Blaauwendraat wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Truth falls off balance throwing a combination

and Blaauwendraat holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Truth is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Truth is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Truth wants to stand and escape but Blaauwendraat is having none of it.

Blaauwendraat stands up over Truth, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Truth looks winded!

Blaauwendraat shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Blaauwendraat showed some decent athleticism there.

Blaauwendraat closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Truth really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Blaauwendraat. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Blaauwendraat seems to be working for a kimura but Truth defends the submission attempt.
Blaauwendraat frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Truth is working to get back to half guard.

Blaauwendraat with shots to the head and body - Truth looks very uncomfortable down there.
Blaauwendraat takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Truth reaches up to try and control the position but Blaauwendraat seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Truth rolls and tries to escape and now Blaauwendraat has his back!

Truth controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.

Blaauwendraat keeps control of the position easily here as Truth tries to buck him off.

Truth won't enjoy being in this position. Blaauwendraat looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Truth is tapping - it's over boys! Blaauwendraat picks up the submission victory!
