Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bearclaw keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bearclaw dives in and grabs Layser's left leg, looking for a takedown. Layser pushes down on Bearclaw's head and hops out.
Bearclaw fails with the takedown

and Layser counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Bearclaw has Layser pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Layser manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kvan Bearclaw. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Bearclaw has gone for a leg lock! Layser slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bearclaw's guard.

My spies in Ironfist Athletics inform me that Layser has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Bearclaw has a closed guard, preventing Layser from standing up.

Layser got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bearclaw has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Layser has managed to get both his arms back between Bearclaw's legs - danger averted.
Layser looking to sit in guard and control but Bearclaw gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Layser looking for a guillotine here but Bearclaw defends easily.

Layser wants to stand but Bearclaw has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Layser seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Bearclaw is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

An out of breath Lex Layser thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
