Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Randolph!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tyson Ali!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Randolph darts in looking for a takedown but Ali gets double underhooks and turns Randolph into the cage.
Randolph wants to break the clinch but can't.
Randolph is trying to break the clinch but Ali is controlling him.
Ali manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Randolph misses with a short punch on the inside.
Ali tries to break the clinch but Randolph is controlling the position.
Randolph escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ali has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Randolph is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Randolph throws a jab but it's blocked by Ali.
Randolph throws a series of punches but Ali avoids them all with ease.
Randolph tries for a takedown but Ali sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Randolph swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Ali throws a poor cross that misses
and Randolph counters with a head kick.
Randolph dives in and grabs Ali's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ali pushes down on Randolph's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Randolph. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Randolph uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ali.
Randolph fails with a takedown attempt.
Randolph moves in looking to clinch but Ali pushes him off.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A punch lands to the side of Randolph 's head but he takes it in his stride.
It looks like James Randolph has been cut.
Randolph slips a jab from Ali.
Randolph tries for a takedown but Ali sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Randolph gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Randolph throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Randolph is breathing heavily.
Ali looks to land a left hand but Randolph moved out of range nicely.
Ali throws an off balance right hand
and Randolph counters with a solid body kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Randolph shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ali pinned against the cage. Ali gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A slow jab from Ali misses its intended target.
Randolph tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Randolph looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Nice sprawl there from Ali as Randolph shoots in.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Randolph blocks a jab.
Ali leaves Randolph with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Randolph ducks right into an uppercut from Ali.
Ali throws a big shot that misses.
A solid body kick from Randolph.
Ali scores with a hook.
Randolph is rocked!
Ali closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Randolph out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
