Vla Belov's jab looks to have found its range, popping Santos under the eye.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Santos pushes Vla Belov back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Santos fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Vla Belov is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Vla Belov decides to pull guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Santos won't allow Vla Belov to get back to his feet.
Vla Belov pulls Santos in close to his closed guard and prevents Santos from doing any damage or advancing position.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Vla Belov can do anything to dispel that myth.
Santos passes Vla Belov's left leg - he's now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Santos seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Vla Belov does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
