Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jon Jones!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Reed Andrews and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weeks misses with an attempted mid kick.

Jones fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Weeks, pushing him back against the cage.
A bit of stalling here from Weeks.
Jones managing to block the knees to the body from Weeks.
Weeks is stalling here.
Weeks lands a body shot in the clinch.
Weeks tries to land knees in the clinch but Jones avoids the damage to the body.
Weeks stalling.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Weeks as Jones tries to tie him up.
Stalling in the clinch from Weeks.
Weeks can't find room to land a body shot as Jones controls the action.

Jones has picked Weeks up - he's going for a ride! Jones dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Jones trying to control from half guard but Weeks is working away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jones missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Jones throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Jones is keen to just control but Weeks is a slippery customer.
Jones is controlling the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jon Jones was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Weeks just misses with a punch to the body.

Jones closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Jones moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Jones has knee on belly and moves into mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jones wants to control the pace but Weeks is squirming around nicely.

Jones jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Weeks manages to avoid the submission attempt.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Jones swings around for an armbar but Weeks sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Jones's guard.
Jones wants to sweep but no luck.
Jones throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Jones looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Jones wriggles free and stands up.

Jones feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jones being controlled here momentarily.

Jones stands up and waves to Weeks to follow him.

Weeks gets tackled into the cage by Jones. Jones maintains the clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jones tries to break free but Weeks pushes him back against the cage.
Weeks doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jon Jones dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Jones lands with a nice combination. Weeks backs away looking to recover.


It looks like Millard Weeks has been cut.
Weeks scores with a nice body kick.
Jones tries to land a leg kick but Weeks saw it coming and moves away.
Jones lands a big head kick that sends Weeks to the canvas! Jones follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jon Jones!
