Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ajyn Godjhonsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse McGulloch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McGulloch has chosen Scotland the Brave as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGulloch throws a big shot that misses.
McGulloch tries to bum rush Godjhonsen with a series of wild strikes but Godjhonsen uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Godjhonsen staying out of range there.
McGulloch tries a head kick but it misses.
McGulloch misses with a hook. Godjhonsen ducked under it nicely.

Godjhonsen looking to score a takedown here. McGulloch is defending well but Godjhonsen drives through and ends up in McGulloch's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Godjhonsen has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. McGulloch avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Godjhonsen has been working on his balance at Island Premium CT, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by McGulloch.

McGulloch's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

McGulloch swings for the body but Godjhonsen moves out of range.
McGulloch throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Godjhonsen darts in looking for a takedown but McGulloch gets double underhooks and turns Godjhonsen into the cage.

McGulloch is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Godjhonsen is defending well for now.

Jesse McGulloch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Godjhonsen counters with a nice double leg into side control. McGulloch won't be happy with that.

Godjhonsen has an Americana. McGulloch didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Godjhonsen is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Godjhonsen hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
