The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jizanthapus darts in trying to clinch
and Doyle counters with a left and a right that stings Jizanthapus.
Jizanthapus moves in looking to clinch but Doyle pushes him off.
Jizanthapus is looking to clinch.
Jizanthapus wants to clinch but Doyle slips to the side
and Doyle counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Doyle.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Doyle scoring with punches to the head and body.
Jizanthapus really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Doyle. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Doyle throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jizanthapus works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Doyle postures up and lands a big shot to Jizanthapus's brow.
Doyle has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Doyle keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Jizanthapus's head.

Jizanthapus creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Doyle's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Doyle drops to his knees and Jizanthapus pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
