Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vincenzo Calliente (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby TupperII (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 31 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vincenzo Calliente!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 19 - 1, fighting out of New York, Bobby TupperII!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Steve Montenegro and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Calliente swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Calliente tries to clinch but TupperII is having none of it.

Calliente throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. TupperII was covering up waiting for the punch and Calliente finishes the takedown easily into guard.
TupperII keeping full guard, as Calliente tries to pass.
TupperII preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Calliente wants to control from the top but TupperII keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
TupperII is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Calliente stops TupperII from standing up.
TupperII keeping moving, preventing Calliente from controlling successfully.
TupperII is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

TupperII has his foot on Calliente's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Calliente works his way back into a safe position though.

TupperII escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Calliente gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
TupperII controls Calliente momentarily but Calliente frees himself.
Calliente's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Calliente missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
TupperII is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Calliente wants to stand and escape but instead TupperII has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
TupperII is looking to pass into half guard but Calliente pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Calliente is in guard.

TupperII has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Calliente can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Calliente controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

TupperII looking for a sweep. Not yet TupperII, not yet.

TupperII is looking for a triangle here but Calliente uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
TupperII is not content to let Calliente control the position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Calliente goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, TupperII has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Calliente but great work by TupperII.

TupperII is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Calliente is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Calliente is not content to let TupperII control the position.
Calliente is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, TupperII asserts his dominance and retains side control.

TupperII is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Calliente tries to bench press TupperII off him but TupperII keeps the position.

TupperII is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Calliente has escaped the position, nice work there.
Calliente is trying to control TupperII's posture but TupperII avoids it.
Calliente is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because TupperII is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Calliente is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Calliente is looking to control TupperII's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Calliente avoid being mounted?

TupperII is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Calliente doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time TupperII.

TupperII is looking for a kimura but Calliente is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for TupperII to get the leverage.
Calliente is trying to stand back up but TupperII is controlling him
Calliente is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of TupperII's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take TupperII's back!
Will Calliente go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

TupperII tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Vincenzo Calliente will probably get the nod.
That's time! Calliente's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and Calliente counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for TupperII!

The ref stands the fighters back up because Vincenzo Calliente just wasn't active enough.

TupperII fails to land the takedown.
TupperII takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
A slapping leg kick lands for Calliente.
Vincenzo Calliente is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Calliente's corner calls for a 1-2. Calliente obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Calliente wants to clinch up but TupperII keeps it at a distance.

and Calliente counters with a series of strikes. TupperII will be more careful next time no doubt.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
TupperII pushes Calliente off looking to stand but Calliente dives back in and keeps control.
TupperII trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!

TupperII has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

Calliente is working for a kimura but TupperII is defending it quite comfortably.

TupperII kicks off Calliente and gets to his feet.

Calliente thows a body shot but no joy.
Calliente throws a shot to the body.
TupperII moves out of range as Calliente throws a body kick.
TupperII misses with a few strikes there.
Calliente scores with a head kick.
Calliente throws a left and a right that both miss
and TupperII counters with a thumping low kick.

Bobby TupperII has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Vincenzo Calliente is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

TupperII lands a couple of digs.
TupperII prevents Calliente from getting back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

TupperII drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Calliente manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now TupperII has Calliente in his guard.
Calliente has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Well Calliente has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
