Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nazario Drugunov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mitsurin Mizu!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Russell Pearce and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drugunov showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Mizu.
Drugunov gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Mizu pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Mizu fails to land with a series of punches.
Mizu dips to his left and cracks Drugunov with an uppercut!
Drugunov is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Mizu's half guard.
Mizu felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Drugunov has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Mizu defend it? Drugunov steps over the head and cranks it - Mizu is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Drugunov!
