The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marshall tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but The Quick paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Marshall shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Marshall passes The Quick's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Marshall wants to control but The Quick is keeping him busy.

Marshall is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The Quick wants to stand and escape but Marshall is having none of it.

The Quick has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Marshall is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Marshall ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Marshall no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Quinton The Quick.
