Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rusaka Gono (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Austin Worner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gono comes into the arena with Nas- Take It In The Blood blaring out of the sound system. Austin Worner has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Austin Worner!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gono shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Worner is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We've been hearing good reports from Gono's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Gono seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Gono has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Worner is proving hard to escape from.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Rusaka Gono just wasn't active enough.
Worner gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Gono counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Gono engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

We're going to have a standup here because Rusaka Gono wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Worner misses with a takedown

and Gono holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Gono escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Gono counters with a shoot takedown. Worner fights it but they end up in guard.
Rusaka Gono has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Austin Worner.

Gono postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Worner is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gono, into his guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gono controls Worner momentarily but Worner frees himself.
Worner passes Gono's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Worner is pressing down on Gono's thigh, looking to free his foot. Gono is holding on for now.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Worner is trying to work for a kimura but Gono is defending well.
Gono wants to get back to his feet.

Worner wants to pass to mount but Gono is defending the position.
Worner is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Gono is desperately trying to improve his position but Worner has a good base and remains in mount.

Worner is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Gono is surviving well by controlling Worner's body position as best he can.
Gono is in all sorts of trouble here.

Worner swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
