Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Darco Goncalves!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Coors Light!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goncalves pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A looping hook to the body misses from Goncalves. Light does a little dance to reset his feet.
Light on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Light dives in for a single leg takedown but Goncalves sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Light is trying to trip Goncalves. He has hold of a leg but Goncalves is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Light persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Goncalves utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Light has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Light works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Goncalves is trying to stand up here but Light is controlling him well.
Light thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Goncalves trying to control from the bottom.
Light performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Light maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Goncalves could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Light has cracked it and Goncalves is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Light!

After winning the bout, Coors Light thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
