Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dominic Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aku Kuat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morgan comes to the cage accompanied by Hollywood Undead - Undead. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 12 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dominic Morgan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Aku Kuat!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Daniel Franklin and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuat fails in his attempt to clinch.
Kuat avoids a punch combination nicely.
Nice takedown defense from Morgan. No joy for Kuat on that attempt.

Morgan feints and as Kuat raises his hands in defense, Morgan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Morgan lands a couple of digs.
Morgan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Kuat is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Morgan with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kuat looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Morgan is working Kuat over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Morgan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kuat on the ground.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kuat is on top in guard.

Morgan is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Morgan on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Morgan tries to get out of the position.

Morgan is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Morgan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kuat gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Kuat advances to half guard.

Kuat is looking for a kimura but Morgan is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kuat to get the leverage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Kuat is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Morgan is just riding it out for now. Kuat eventually gives up the hold.

Morgan is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Morgan actively working from the bottom here.

Kuat is working for a kimura but Morgan is defending it quite comfortably.
Morgan looks like he's trying to stand up.

Kuat is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Morgan has managed to free his arm - good work.

Morgan lands with a few short shots to the body.
Morgan is trying to control but can't.
Morgan tries to roll over but Kuat keeps him under control.
Morgan throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Kuat wants to free his trapped foot but Morgan is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Kuat seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Morgan does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Kuat looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Morgan is desperately trying to improve his position but Kuat has a good base and remains in mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Morgan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Morgan avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Kuat working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Morgan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Morgan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Morgan postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kuat is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Morgan, into his guard.

Morgan wants to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Morgan is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kuat pulls his head out easily.

Kuat stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Morgan swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Morgan bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kuat's guard.

Morgan makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Kuat throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Morgan is stalling in the full guard.
Morgan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Morgan closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Morgan lands in his opponent's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Morgan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kuat has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Morgan has managed to get both his arms back between Kuat's legs - danger averted.

Morgan is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Morgan throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Morgan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Morgan decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Kuat is looking to control Morgan's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kuat avoid being mounted?

Kuat takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Morgan is trying to control the action in half guard but Kuat is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Morgan is nestled in close to Kuat, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Dominic Morgan is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Morgan drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Morgan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Kuat is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Morgan not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Dominic Morgan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

We're going to have a standup here because Dominic Morgan wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Morgan shoots in and bounces Kuat off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Dominic Morgan showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Morgan has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
