The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cook drives through with a takedown into guard.
Cain avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Cook pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cain is keeping the position for now.

Cook avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by John Cook.
Cook doesn't manage to clinch there - Cain circles away.
Cook shoots in looking for a takedown. Cain tries to sprawl out of it but Cook keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cain manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Cain sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Cook's guard.

Cook is rocked!
Cain gets to his feet and stands over Cook, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Cook felt that one! Cain unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Cook from any more punishment!
