Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kyell Gold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddison Tollett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kyell Gold!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eddison Tollett!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gold.

Gold looking to score a takedown here. Tollett is defending well but Gold drives through and ends up in Tollett's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Gold postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Tollett in particular looking to stall.

Gold has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Gold is looking to improve his position but Tollett isn't that keen on the idea.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Gold wants to hold on but Tollett pushes him away.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Gold feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Tolletts jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Gold fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Gold changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tollett looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Tollett is looking to reverse the position.

Gold goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Tollett rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Gold's guard! Nice work there by Tollett!
Gold is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Gold is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Tollett is aware though and is defending well.
Tollett stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gold swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Gold looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Tollett passes into side control, despite Gold's attempt to control the position.

Gold tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Tollett wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Gold is squirming around, avoiding Tollett's attempts to control the action.

Tollett looking to ground and pound but Gold is blocking nicely.
Gold wants to control but Tollett is having none of it.
Gold bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Tollett manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Gold throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Tollett ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Tollett wants to sweep here but Gold controlling him for the moment.
Gold lands a couple of elbows.
Gold postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Gold preventing the sweep.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Tollett holds on and takes a little breather.

Gold chips away with some ground and pound.
Kyell Gold overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Gold wants to pass the guard but Tollett is keeping the position.
Tollett wants to sweep here but Gold controlling him for the moment.

Gold postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Tollett is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gold, into his guard.

Gold is looking for a triangle but Tollett pushes his legs off easily.

Gold looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Tollett passes into half guard.
Tollett wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gold keeps working.

Tollett is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Gold has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Tollett is looking to defend but Gold has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Tollett! Gold pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Tollett taps out and this one is all over!
