Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ramazan Astakhov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Uzmanov Kiri!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kiri fails with a takedown attempt.
Astakhov tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kiri manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

and Kiri counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Astakhov!

Kiri lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Kiri has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Kiri working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Astakhov is in a horrible position here. Kiri smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Kiri wants to control the pace but Astakhov is squirming around nicely.
Kiri is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Astakhov can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Astakhov is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Kiri lands a couple of good shots and Astakhov has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
I would not like to be Astakhov right now.
Kiri scores with strikes from the back.

Astakhov trying to control the position but Kiri manages to sink in the hooks.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kiri scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Astakhov is really stuck here.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kiri keeps control of the position easily here as Astakhov tries to buck him off.
Kiri is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Kiri is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Astakhov wants to escape the position.
Astakhov manages to reverse the position and now he's in Kiri's guard. Nice work there by Astakhov.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Uzmanov Kiri dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Kiri shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Astakhov as he jumps to the side.
Kiri stuffs the takedown.
Astakhov moves in looking to clinch but Kiri pushes him off.
Uzmanov Kiri is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Astakhov misses with a hook
and Kiri counters with a nice double leg into side control. Astakhov won't be happy with that.
Kiri has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Astakhov is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Kiri yanks on the arm and Astakhov is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Kiri.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Uzmanov Kiri!
A relieved looking Uzmanov Kiri thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
