The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Photirat misses with a double jab
and Kaine counters with a nice body shot.
Photirat steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Kaine. That one must have hurt.
A slapping body kick lands there for Kaine.
Kaine throws a half hearted mid kick.
Photirat throws a nice looking combination but Kaine bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
We've been hearing reports that Kaine has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Sloppy strikes from Photirat. Those never looked like landing.
Kaine goes for a double leg but Photirat avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Photirat continues to drive forward.
Photirat works on Kaine's body with a couple of short punches.

Kaine feints and then cracks Photirat's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Photirat down.
Photirat takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Kaine fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Photirat has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Photirat parries the strikes from Kaine easily there. Kaine is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Photirat to escape.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Kaine throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
