The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wong tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Cardenas manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Wong closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Cardenas quickly recovers to half guard.
Cardenas trying to control but Wong postures up.
Wong seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Cardenas missing with punches from the bottom.
Wong should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Wong throwing shots but Cardenas is blocking nicely.
Cardenas knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wong on the ground.
