The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ybarra swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sanchez throws the left hand but Ybarra avoids the punch easily.
Sanchez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ybarra is fending him off so far but Sanchez persists. Nope, Ybarra circles away and we're back to standing.
Ybarra throws a right and a left that Sanchez avoids nicely.
Ybarra throws a shot to the body.
Ybarra swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ybarra lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Sanchez up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Ybarra from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Sanchez's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Bud Ybarra!
Bud Ybarra was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
