Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mirko Filipovic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Andy Loow!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Filipovic moves into the clinch successfully.
Filipovic wants to break the clinch but can't.

Filipovic breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Filipovic misses with a head kick.
A head kick misses from Filipovic.
Filipovic looks to land a right hand but Loow moved out of range.
Filipovic throws a leg kick

and Loow counters with a takedown into side control.

Loow wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Filipovic, who protects the arm well.
Filipovic is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Loow tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Loow has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

That's one minute gone in the round.

Loow thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Loow working the ground and pound.

Loow is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Filipovic has escaped the position, nice work there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Loow tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Loow has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Loow working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
An elbow from Loow crashes against the mat.
Loow has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Loow is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Filipovic looks calm but he's in trouble here. Loow gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Filipovic is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Loow lets go of the hold and Filipovic can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Andy Loow!
