PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cedric Caraan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Fell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Caraan comes into the arena with TubThumping(I get Knockdown) blaring out of the sound system. Fell has chosen Eminem. Bezerk as his entrance music. Jordan Fell has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fell wants to clinch
and Caraan makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Fell throws a head kick that misses.
Fell throws a nice head kick!


It looks like Cedric Caraan has been cut.
Fell throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A head kick by Fell misses
and Caraan makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Fell scores with a kick to the midsection.
Caraan fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Caraan on the wrong end of a kick to the body.

Fell tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Caraan keeps the fight on the outside.
Fell throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Caraan looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Fell throws a leg kick which misses Caraan's front leg but catches the back leg as Caraan tries to avoid it.

Fell throws a head kick that misses.
Fell pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Caraan feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Fell's calf.
Fell buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Fell takes the fight into the clinch.
Caraan keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Fell's efforts to push away.
Fell misses with a knee to the head.

Caraan tries to pull guard but Fell won't allow it.
Caraan keeps control of Fell as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Fell's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Fell pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jordan Fell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fell misses with an attempted mid kick.

Fell closes the distance and clinches.
Fell manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Caraan manages to pull guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Caraan working for a triangle but Fell defends it easily.
Fell postures up and lands a big shot to Caraan's brow.

Caraan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fell can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Fell engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Fell is looking to stand up but Caraan won't let him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Caraan counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Caraan is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Fell defends it well.

Caraan looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fell tries to get to full guard but Caraan has control of the leg.

Caraan seems to be working for a kimura but Fell defends the submission attempt.
Fell is looking for a sweep. Caraan is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Caraan is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Fell defends it well.
Fell wants to get back to full guard.

Caraan is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Fell doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Caraan.

Caraan is looking for a kimura here.

Caraan seems to be working for a kimura but Fell defends the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fell is looking to control Caraan's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Fell avoid being mounted?

Caraan is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Fell is looking to improve his position.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!



Caraan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Caraan gets to his feet - Fell follows without any prompting.
Fell misses with a head kick.
Fell throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Fell moves into the clinch successfully.

Caraan successfully pulls guard.

Caraan is looking to cinch up a triangle. Fell throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Caraan's body to avoid the submission. Caraan has instead reached around Fell's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Caraan arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Cedric Caraan!
Post fight, Cedric Caraan stared into the camera and said 'Thanks for the fans in attendance, and the millions watching at their homes. It's an honor for me to fight here in SFC and give you guys fireworks. Hey Goryachev, Hope your watching. Let's do this!!, 3rd Time!'.
