Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Bourne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Romo Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bourne comes into the arena with Bawitdaba blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bourne tries to clinch up.
John Bourne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bourne tries to close the distance and clinch up but Diaz swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Bourne drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Diaz has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Diaz unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Bourne wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Diaz celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
