The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rasputin fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Munch avoids it really well and circles away.
Munch throws a head kick but Rasputin moves out of range.
Munch stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

It looks like Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin has been cut.
Munch connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Rasputin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rasputin wants it to stay on the feet.
Rasputin leaves Munch with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Munch really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Munch escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Munch shoots in but Rasputin avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Munch. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Rasputin lands a left and a right that send Munch crashing to the mat, dazed. Rasputin thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Rasputin looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Munch is defending well. Rasputin quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Munch has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Rasputin celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
