Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jason Shono!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Brad Mansfield!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Saam Ante and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shono tries to clinch but Mansfield moves out of range.
Shono moves in looking to clinch but Mansfield pushes him off.
Mansfield closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Mansfield is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Shono will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Mansfield has hold of Shono's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Shono seems comfortable defending it but Mansfield has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Shono is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Shono is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Mansfield couldn't care less - he's delighted!
