Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sergei Kuula (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Gustaffson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kuula comes to the cage accompanied by The Rolling Stones - Sympathy For The Devil. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sergei Kuula!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alexander Gustaffson!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Patrick Alders and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gustaffson gets a double leg takedown into Kuula's guard.
Gustaffson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kuula swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Gustaffson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Gustaffson passes Kuula's left leg - he's now in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kuula wants to improve his position but Gustaffson is controlling well.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Gustaffson in particular looking to stall.
Kuula has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gustaffson is working away from the top position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kuula is looking for a sweep. Gustaffson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Kuula might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Gustaffson wants to pass the guard but Kuula is defending well.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Kuula makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kuula.
Kuula not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Gustaffson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Kuula wants to clinch.
Gustaffson tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kuula. Gustaffson does a little dance to reset his feet.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kuula.

Gustaffson wants to pass to mount but Kuula is defending the position.

Kuula looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Gustaffson tries to bench press Kuula off him but Kuula keeps the position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Gustaffson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kuula defends it well.

Kuula seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Kuula tries to lock up and control but Gustaffson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Gustaffson goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Kuula is on top in guard.
