The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammer throws the kick towards the body but Palavra avoids it.
Palavra checks the leg kick.
Palavra slips under a jab.
Palavra shoots in but Hammer avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Hammer has managed to clinch.

Hammer turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Hammer manages to end up in side control.
Palavra is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Hammer's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Antti Hammer wasn't active enough on the ground.

Palavra has Hammer up against the cage in a clinch.
Palavra is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Hammer pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Palavra shoots for a takedown but Hammer saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Hammer steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Palavra. That one must have hurt.
Hammer scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Hammer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Palavra was well out of range. Poor timing from Hammer.
