Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Barnes Savageton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dmitry Belov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Savageton might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Nas- The Cross. Belov has chosen Mother Russia as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Savageton misses with a takedown

and Belov counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Savageton's guard now.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Belov is stalling in the full guard.

Let's hope that Belov has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Savageton has his takedown stuffed

and Belov counters with a nice double leg into side control. Savageton won't be happy with that.

Savageton is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Belov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Belov is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Savageton looks calm but he's in trouble here. Belov gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Savageton is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Belov lets go of the hold and Savageton can pop his arm back in it's socket.
