Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luke Lashley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hard Work Dedication!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dedication blocks a head kick by Lashley.
Luke Lashley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lashley shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dedication but Dedication pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Lashley takes one to the side of the head.
Lashley shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dedication pinned against the cage. Dedication gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A combination from Dedication does no damage.
Dedication throws a head kick but Lashley moves out of range.
Lashley will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luke Lashley. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Dedication tries to land knees in the clinch but Lashley avoids the damage to the body.

Dedication's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dedication goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Lashley fails to land the takedown.
Dedication throws a leg kick that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lashley swinging wildly here.
Lashley shoots in and drives through. Dedication sprawls well.
Dedication slaps away a takedown attempt from Lashley, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Lashley avoids the head kick by Dedication.
Lashley shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Dedication sprawls well. Dedication wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lashley gets slowly back to his feet.
Dedication rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lashley moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Lashley misses with a kick to the body
and Dedication counters with a flying knee. Nice.

Lashley scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Lashley landing a few strikes.
Sloppy strikes there by Lashley.

Lashley lands a nice forearm strike.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lashley misses with the ground and pound.
Dedication is trying to control Lashley's posture but Lashley avoids it.
Lashley creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Dedication sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Dedication is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Lashley has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Lashley decides to stand up, so the ref orders Dedication to his feet.
Lashley fails with a takedown attempt.
Lashley shoots in looking for a takedown. Dedication tries to sprawl out of it but Lashley keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dedication manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Lashley shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Lashley was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Dedication bucks up and tries to throw Lashley off but instead Lashley has got his back!
We've been hearing good reports from Lashley's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Dedication is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Lashley off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
Dedication is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Luke Lashley!
Luke Lashley really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Just Fight (Everything 7$) logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
