Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Teuvo Teravainen!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Peter Branson and Winston Alpacca.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McRaven misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
McRaven closes this distance looking for a takedown but Teravainen circles away.
McRaven fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alec McRaven. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Teravainen counters with a three punch combo that has McRaven backing up. McRaven nods at Teravainen to acknowledge the strikes.
McRaven tries for a takedown but Teravainen circles away easily
and Teravainen counters with a nice uppercut.
McRaven changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Teravainen tries to avoid it but McRaven manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Teravainen to the ground. Teravainen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Teravainen stuffs the takedown attempt from McRaven. McRaven gets slowly back to his feet.
Teravainen keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

McRaven shoots and misses
and McRaven takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Teravainen makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
McRaven is breathing heavily.
Horrible takedown by McRaven or perhaps it was just good defense by Teravainen which made him look bad.
McRaven misses with a takedown attempt - Teravainen sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Teravainen stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

It looks like Alec McRaven has been cut.
McRaven dives in for a single leg takedown but Teravainen sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
McRaven's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Teravainen has McRaven pressed against the cage.
McRaven tries to pull guard but Teravainen won't allow it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Teravainen is working McRaven over against the cage.

McRaven is trying to pull guard but Teravainen turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
McRaven is working for takedown but Teravainen is calmly controlling the position for now.
Teravainen lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

McRaven jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Teravainen walks away with a smile on his face. McRaven gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Alec McRaven seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McRaven fails with a takedown attempt.
McRaven takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Teravainen has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
McRaven tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Teravainen defends well and McRaven ends up having to push Teravainen into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Teravainen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
McRaven fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
McRaven goes for a double leg but Teravainen avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Teravainen continues to drive forward.
Teravainen lands a hook to the side of the head.
Come on Teravainen - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
McRaven changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Teravainen fights it off and pushes away nicely.

McRaven shoots in for a double leg but Teravainen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
McRaven shoots and misses
and Teravainen connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Nice takedown defense from Teravainen. No joy for McRaven on that attempt.
A jab from Teravainen does it's job there.

McRaven shoots in but Teravainen avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Oh McRaven is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Teravainen connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between McRaven's hands.

and Teravainen counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Teravainen has cracked McRaven with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Teravainen lands another huge swinging hook and McRaven tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save McRaven, before Teravainen can land any more shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Teuvo Teravainen!
Teuvo Teravainen was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
