The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kluge works Walters's body with a nice hook.
Walters walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Coaker Kluge seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Walters shoots in for a takedown but Kluge shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Walters has been working on his balance at Franklin D. Bluth Memorial Supergym, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Kluge.
Walters throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Walters darts in looking for a takedown but Kluge gets double underhooks and turns Walters into the cage.

Kluge tries to break the clinch but Walters is controlling the position.
Walters pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Kluge drops Walters with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Walters looks back up at him and smiles so Kluge waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
