Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Corey Bond!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mikel Mcgee!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mcgee moves into range and clinches up with Bond.
Bond managing to block the knees to the body from Mcgee.

Mcgee pulls guard effortlessly.
Mcgee thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Mcgee manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Bond is looking to get to half guard.
Mcgee tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Bond wants to control but Mcgee is having none of it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mcgee takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Bond wants to get back to his feet.
Mcgee content just to control the position here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Mikel Mcgee.

Mcgee shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Mcgee showed some decent athleticism there.
Well, if Mcgee is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Mcgee is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Mcgee trying to pass the guard but Bond defending well.

It looks like Mcgee might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Mcgee prevents Bond from standing back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mikel Mcgee dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Mcgee gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Bond's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Bond tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Mcgee manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Mcgee looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Bond is trying to keep Mcgee in close.
Mcgee trying to stand up but can't free himself from Bond's guard.
Mcgee slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Mcgee distracts Bond with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Mcgee advances position into side control!
Mcgee happy to just control the position for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mcgee passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Bond!
Mcgee postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Bond looks a forlorn figure.
Mcgee controlling the position easily from mount.
Bond is just holding on here. Mcgee manages to take his back.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bond wants to get back to his feet.

Bond is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Mcgee looking for the rear naked choke. And he's got it! Bond taps!
