PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Greek Gyros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Heffo Klumpo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gyros comes to the cage accompanied by Greek Gyros. Klumpo has chosen Enter Sandman as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gyros moves out of range of the body kick.
Sloppy strikes from Klumpo. Those never looked like landing.
Klumpo shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Gyros eats them both and turns towards Klumpo to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

It looks like Greek Gyros has been cut.
Klumpo throws a jab when Gyros was well out of range.

Gyros gets the takedown into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Klumpo is looking for a sweep.

Gyros tries to kick Klumpo off but Klumpo keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Gyros wants to control but Klumpo is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Klumpo is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Klumpo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gyros is just riding it out for now. Klumpo eventually gives up the hold.

Klumpo is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Gyros defends it well.

Klumpo thows a huge punch but Gyros dodges it nicely.
Gyros is trying to stand up here but Klumpo is controlling him well.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Klumpo working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Klumpo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gyros is just riding it out for now. Klumpo eventually gives up the hold.
Klumpo takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Gyros tries to kick Klumpo off but Klumpo keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Klumpo lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Greek Gyros's cut is getting worse.
Gyros slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Klumpo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gyros works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Gyros will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Klumpo working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Klumpo keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Gyros's head.

Jeez, Greek Gyros's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Greek Gyros's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
