Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Yaw Quartey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tristan Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Yaw Quartey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tristan Lee!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Eliza Hachem and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quartey stuffs the takedown attempt from Lee. Lee gets slowly back to his feet.

Quartey moves into range and clinches up with Lee.
Quartey tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Quartey breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Quartey bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Lee's head.
Yaw Quartey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Quartey throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Quartey misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Lee throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Quartey tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Lee is in Quartey's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Lee postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Lee is looking to work some ground and pound but Quartey has wrist control.

Quartey manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Lee takes a kick to the side of the head.

Lee uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Quartey.

and Lee counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Lee has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Quartey wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Quartey has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Tristan Lee hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Lee shoots in for a double leg but Quartey sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Lee tries to score a power double leg takedown but Quartey sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lee somewhat.
Lee fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Quartey throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lee takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Lee might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Quartey haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

I would just about give that final round to Tristan Lee.
I've got Lee winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
