PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chris Kringle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Heavy Damage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kringle's entrance music is Wating on the world to change, by John Mayer. A fine choice. Damage has chosen LMFAO Mash up as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 18 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chris Kringle!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Heavy Damage!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Damage throws a leg kick but Kringle sees it coming and moves out of range.
Kringle shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Damage eats them both and turns towards Kringle to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.


It looks like Heavy Damage has been cut.
Kringle on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Damage. Damage obviously looking to wear him down.
Kringle takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Damage throws a body punch but Kringle moves out of range.
Kringle has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Breaking Bad Training Center in the buildup to the fight.
Damage defending well as Kringle loads up on a big left hand.
Damage uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Kringle has time to react.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Damage with a hook.
Kringle throws a head kick that misses.
Damage takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Kringle throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Damage's waist but Damage gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kringle off to one side.
Damage lands a jab.
Kringle takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

A nice combination there by Kringle.
Kringle misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Chris Kringle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A big left from Kringle misses.
Kringle takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Kringle takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Kringle looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Damage avoids the head kick by Kringle.
Damage looks to land a body kick but Kringle moved away.
Damage fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Kringle tries to clinch up

and Damage counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Damage.

This has been an exciting period of action!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Damage is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Damage tries to free his leg and advance position but Kringle is retaining full guard.
Kringle wants to stand but Damage is controlling the position.

Kringle is looking to stand up but Damage isn't so interested in that idea.

Kringle is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Damage is controlling him.
Damage tries to free his leg and advance position but Kringle is retaining full guard.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Damage working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Damage has gone for a leg lock! Kringle slips out almost immediately though and dives into Damage's guard.
Kringle trying to control but Damage is working from the bottom.

Damage looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Damage is looking for a triangle but Kringle pushes his legs off easily.
Damage trying to control the position.
Damage has momentary wrist control but Kringle slips an elbow through the middle.
Kringle wants to pass the guard but Damage is keeping the position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kringle throws a big right hand that misses.
Kringle in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Heavy Damage dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Heavy Damage's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Kringle ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Kringle misses with a wild body shot.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Damage.
Heavy Damage seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Kringle misses with a body shot.

Kringle closes the distance and clinches.
Damage lands a left hand.

Damage breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kringle throws an overhand right that lands on Damage's shoulder, as Damage tries to avoid the shot.
Kringle wants to clinch up but Damage keeps it at a distance.
A shot to the liver by Damage. Beautiful body shot.
Kringle misses with the body kick

and Damage counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Damage drops back looking for a leg! Kringle is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kringle manages to kick Damage off! Damage jumps back into Kringle's guard.
Damage won't allow Kringle to get back to his feet.

Damage thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Kringle has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Damage has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Damage on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Damage gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Damage thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Damage drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kringle looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kringle looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kringle!
Kringle in side control lands a decent elbow.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kringle landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Damage takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Damage manages to get back to half guard.
Damage desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Kringle is nestled in close to Damage, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Damage is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kringle pulls his head out easily.

Damage looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Kringle passes to full mount!

Kringle connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Kringle unloading with bombs!
Kringle lands a heavy elbow.


Damage is rocked!
Kringle raining down shots from the mount!
Damage is still in real trouble! Can Kringle finish him?
Kringle postures up and throws a big right hand. BOOM! Right on the button! Damage is out cold - huge knockout for Kringle!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Chris Kringle!

Chris Kringle seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
Heavy Damage spoke after the fight, saying 'I'd like to say sorry to all my fans that came out to support me tonight he was the better fighter tonight ill come back stronger next time i promise you all that!'.
