Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 18 - 0, fighting out of London, Craig Mason!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 39 - 16 - 0, fighting out of New York, Travis Lucas!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Ivan Kurochkin and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mason misses with an uppercut.
Mason lands with a good body shot.
The fighters circling - Lucas throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Mason lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Lucas walks into a stiff left hand from Mason.


It looks like Travis Lucas has been cut.
Mason looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Lucas tries a head kick but it misses.
Lucas throws a nice outside leg kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mason shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lucas but Lucas pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Lucas dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Mason. That did some damage!
Mason lands with a shot to the body.
A telegraphed right hand from Mason misses the target.
Mason throws a jab but it's blocked by Lucas.
Lucas pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lucas on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Mason lands a left and a right that sends Lucas crashing to the canvas! Mason dives into mount looking to finish!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Mason can't control as he wanted to and Lucas manages to get the fight back to his half guard.

Mason is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Lucas has managed to free his arm - good work.

Mason is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Lucas tries to roll over but Mason keeps him under control.
Lucas holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Mason is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lucas doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mason.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Mason seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Lucas is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Craig Mason!
