The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monsoon connects with a crisp jab.
Ricard tries to close the distance and clinch up but Monsoon swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Ricard connects with a nice looking jab.

It looks like Tim Monsoon has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ricard dives in and grabs Monsoon's left leg, looking for a takedown. Monsoon pushes down on Ricard's head and hops out.

Ricard moves in looking to clinch but Monsoon pushes him off.

Ricard drops Monsoon with a left right combo! Ricard follows him down to the ground into side control.

Monsoon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ricard on the ground.
Monsoon dodges the ground and pound from Ricard.
Ricard throws a strike aimed at the side of Monsoon's head but Monsoon avoids it well.
Monsoon is working to avoid the ground and pound but Ricard connects with a decent elbow.
Ricard cracks Monsoon with a big right hand but Monsoon just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Oh Monsoon is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Ricard decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Ricard throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Monsoon looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Ricard will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Ricard uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Monsoon.
Ricard wobbles Monsoon with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Ricard dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Monsoon to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!
