Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Josiah Mudzuri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timo Kahuna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kahuna misses with an uppercut.
Kahuna's coach down at Elite Training Facility was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Kahuna's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Kahuna lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Kahuna swings for the body but Mudzuri moves out of range.
Kahuna throws out a loose jab but Mudzuri uses good head movement to avoid it.

Mudzuri displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kahuna throws out the jab.
Kahuna displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mudzuri.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Mudzuri stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kahuna swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Mudzuri wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kahuna, who protects the arm well.
Mudzuri definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mudzuri tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mudzuri has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Mudzuri thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Kahuna really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mudzuri. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Mudzuri jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Kahuna is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Kahuna and Mudzuri has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
