Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jesus Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacare Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gonzalez comes to the cage accompanied by Why Cant we Be Friends!. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Souza tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gonzalez swivels and escapes.
Gonzalez misses with the combination.
Gonzalez fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Souza checks it well.
A head kick misses from Souza.
Gonzalez throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gonzalez misses with a hook.
Souza misses with a looping left.
Gonzalez connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Souza's hands.
Souza misses with a body kick.
Gonzalez throws a leg kick but Souza sees it coming and moves out of range.
Gonzalez jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Gonzalez scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Souza doesn't seem bothered though.
Gonzalez dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Souza looks gassed!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Souza tries to move into range but Gonzalez moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Gonzalez throws a nice outside leg kick.
Gonzalez fails to land with a series of punches.
Gonzalez misses with a series of wild punches.
Gonzalez scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Nice body punch from Gonzalez.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gonzalez cracks Souza with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Souza tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Gonzalez pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Souza is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jesus Gonzalez!
