Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Emmanuel Zsorats (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tomasz Drwal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Drwal's choice of entrance music: Nightwish Crimson Tide . I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Tomasz Drwal was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Emmanuel Zsorats!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tomasz Drwal!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Radbod Blank and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drwal takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Drwal misses with a few strikes there.
Drwal throws a nice outside leg kick.

Drwal pushes Zsorats up against the cage in a clinch.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Drwal can't break the clinch.
Drwal wants to get back to striking at distance but Zsorats won't allow it.
Zsorats just leaning against Drwal, taking a breather.

The crowd are getting on Drwal's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.

and Zsorats counters with a nice low kick that buckles Drwal's knee momentarily.

Drwal tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Drwal scoring well with a low kick there.
Zsorats dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Drwal. That did some damage!
Zsorats misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Zsorats takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

Zsorats chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Drwal can pounce on him.

Zsorats stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Drwal.

and Zsorats finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Zsorats dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Drwal. That did some damage!
Drwal tries to clinch but Zsorats is having none of it.

Drwal throws a body punch but Zsorats moves out of range.
A low kick from Drwal is predictable there

and Zsorats counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Drwal has his feet on Zsorats's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Tomasz Drwal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Drwal closes the distance but Zsorats moves to the side
and Zsorats counters with a nice uppercut.

Drwal moves into the clinch.
Zsorats is looking to take this one to the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Emmanuel Zsorats. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Drwal tries to stall but Zsorats uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Zsorats lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Zsorats.

Drwal is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Zsorats gets his way!
Drwal is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Zsorats off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Zsorats cracks Drwal with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Drwal from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Drwal throws a low kick, looking for Zsorats's leg but Zsorats calmly moves out of range.

Zsorats is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Drwal will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Zsorats has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Zsorats wants to lay and pray for a moment but Drwal keeps working.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Drwal felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
