Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jim Brawn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Cote (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Patrick Cote has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jim Brawn's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jim Brawn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Patrick Cote!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brawn moves out of range of the body kick from Cote.
Cote closes the distance and clinches up with Brawn, looking for a takedown. Cote pushes Brawn against the cage but Brawn circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Brawn moves in looking to clinch but Cote pushes him off.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Brawn is defended easily by Cote.
Cote tries to clinch up.
Horrible takedown by Cote or perhaps it was just good defense by Brawn which made him look bad.
Cote slaps away a takedown attempt from Brawn, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Nice takedown defense from Brawn. No joy for Cote on that attempt.
Jim Brawn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Patrick Cote.
Brawn shoots in for a takedown but Cote shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Cote tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Brawn paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Brawn takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like Jim Brawn has been cut.
Brawn lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Brawn fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Cote shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Brawn as he avoids it easily.
Brawn tries to land a leg kick but Cote saw it coming and moves away.
Brawn goes for a double leg but Cote avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Cote continues to drive forward.
Cote breaks the clinch.
Brawn leaves Cote with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Brawn misses with a takedown attempt - Cote sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cote doesn't manage to clinch there - Brawn circles away.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Brawn shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Cote moves into the clinch.
Brawn can't get the takedown.
Brawn tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Cote smiles and moves away.
Cote shoots for a double leg takedown but Brawn sprawls well. He's pushed Cote's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Cote tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Cote tries to score a power double leg takedown but Brawn sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cote somewhat.

Brawn throws a head kick that misses.
Brawn misses with a takedown attempt - Cote sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Cote tries to clinch but Brawn is having none of it.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Brawn is defended easily by Cote.
Brawn throws a lazy head kick
and Cote counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Cote.
Brawn jumps guard but Cote turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Brawn has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Brawn has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Cote after a bit of a struggle.
Cote manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Cote is trying to control the position but Brawn postures up.

Cote looking for a guillotine here but Brawn defends easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cote has his feet on Brawn's thighs here. He's pushed Brawn off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Brawn screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
